Readout of the Meeting Between U.S. Commerce Secretary John Bryson and Egyptian Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Mahmoud Eisa

U.S. Commerce Secretary John Bryson met today with Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry Dr. Mahmoud Eisa at the Commerce Department to discuss U.S. support for Egyptian economic development. Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Francisco J. Sánchez also joined the meeting.

This was the first meeting between Bryson and Eisa, who is in Washington for meetings with U.S. administration officials regarding efforts to enhance bilateral trade and economic growth in Egypt. Bryson and Eisa also discussed Commerce’s activities in Egypt, including the Industry and Trade Analysis E-Learning Program and the Commercial Law Development Program. Bryson said he looks forward to continuing to strengthen the trade relationship between the two countries.
